Day 3: Face

On the first day of face to face, have the trainee shadow you for a few orders before they start. This allows them to pick up on the language used, clarifying questions, and sense of urgency.

Things to look out for:

  • Ensure that they are asking for sauces and condiments, if the guests says no, show them how to use the "no sauce" button.

  • Keep an eye on gaps and coach the trainee to keep the cars pulling forward.

  • Make sure that they read back the entire order, including sides and sizes.

  • Ensure the trainee is using CORE 4 and being hospitable with each guest.

  • Be sure the trainee knows how to tender mobile orders and when to use the exact dollar button.

  • Ensure they are properly greeting the guest and using CFA language.
